Lukan is from an old line. He is very proud of his heritage, and of the honors, he received not only from being in the service but of the family history of service that has been passed down for generations. A history he is very intent on continuing. As a soldier, he was very aggressive and committed to his role, it wasn't a job for him, it was a driven goal. To rise in ranks, get the esteem and respect that his family has had for years, but it wasn't about serving his country that made him determined to succeed, but his family background. The Williams family is an old family of werewolves who once ruled their own section of the British Isles centuries ago. His ancestors were ruthless and cunning, traits that tend to be passed down each generation. But as time passed and invasions and wars broke out his family shifted their views to siding with the royal families to preserve their land and their bloodline. They worked their way up the ranks to attain the title of Baron. Each generation would work to preserve the family honors and naturally, Lukan expected this of his own children. While he loves them, he tended to be sterner when it came to them, planning their futures and making certain to keep their legacy going to another generation. Unfortunately, his first son abandoned his duties, and the second prefers wasteful spending and worthless bragging of that of a spoiled child. The third, however, is his daughter, whom he still has hopes for.

Besides his own personal children, one of the few noble families he can honestly call sworn friend has been the Knight family. The Knights have befriended and aided his own family for generations, while he never understood the family's lack of desire to work up the noble ranks settling for the rank that is their namesake. He appreciates their loyalty and devotion to the country and allies. The knight twins while not his own children are treated like family. When the Knights' residence was destroyed in a fire and the result was the death of his friend. He naturally assumed he would take responsibility for the twins as their parents had spoken to him about the situation several times, only to find that another noble friend of theirs somehow ended up as being the twin's caretaker and caretaker of the estate. Lukan suspecting something was up started investigating the situation, but much was lost in the fire and other evidence supported the claim. Years later he was reunited with the two felines resulting in re-establishing relations. With this done, he requested the twins to travel to the US to keep an eye on his two wayward sons in an attempt to keep Garrick and Cyrus out of trouble.
