The second of my big villain characters, a phoenix this time.

Bruce Averran is a member of a rare sub-species of the already uncommon phoenix species: the Blue Phoenix. As a member of this race, his natural abilities, such as flight, fire manipulation, and sight are significantly superior to those of other avians.
Bruce was born in Australia, but only has a mild Aussie accent due to his upbringing being primarily in the United States. When he was 16, his family moved to Canada, where they were killed five years later by a terrorist organization. This happened to be the group lead by Cornelius Spencer, whose underlings(with his permission) offered young Bruce the chance to join them, as the Syndicate had framed another crime group for the attack.
Bruce initially agreed, but after discovering that it was the Syndicate who killed his family, he turned on them, going rogue. Eventually, he became a mercenary, deciding he could trust nobody after his betrayal. Now, he uses his powers not for the greater good, but for his own survival, as a high-profile mercenary. His actions have made him a high-priority target for the Airship League, but has somehow managed to evade them for some time. Currently, he has a lengthy contract with a shadowy group that is actually a puppet organization for the Syndicate, who are using him in their ultimate plans.
