...With how the Nightmare keeps being brought up, I'm starting to feel that it's less of a Nightmare, and more of Omega's way of attempting to provoke a "Hero-Side" version of "Self-Fulfuiling Prophesy".
Why? Because Vulpa's new form is not only WEAKER than her previous one, she likely no longer has the "Resistance to Bullets" she once had, as her muscles aren't like ropes of tightly woven Bullet-Resistant fabric anymore... Meaning a Sniper can just blow her arm off from a Thousand yards and kill her quickly.
Adding to that, she's very clearly been drained severely, meaning she'll be completely useless when facing a Corrupted Kemono that she could have wiped the floor with previously... And Because Ruki is trying to avoid invoking the Nightmare as much as possible, even by altering appearances, it's starting to feel less like a Simple Nightmare...
And more like a Direct attack on Ruki's Psyche, via remote manipulation of her dreams.
