drakonis dragon species lore part 1

the drakonis live on a planet rich in gold silver and all maner of precious stones gems and crystals planet they inhabit is also nearly inhospitable to most creatures other then them selves even humans would find it difficult to survive . the drakonis spend most of thier time practicing thier magic and play fighting as a comunity they dont by nature have any natural predators as not much can survive on the volitaile volcanic planet despite this fact the drakonis arent defenseless as theier magic and dragon born abilities can cause significant damage to attackers that might find thier way to thier home world

the drakonis come in all sorts of variations in wings and tails but most share the same body head and ear types some have horns some have scales some even have furr and feathers some can fly others cant they are geneticly diverse and adaptable to thier environment ocasionaly a portal to other dimensions or paralel plains open up and take one or more draconis dragon some have even been taken to antient earth during the times of kings and dragons witch caused some touble but nothing major came of it

the magic types in the drakonis species varry greately as well earth wind fire water energy light and dark all used in a delicate balance theier magic is verry powerful and often times light and dark magic users will meet up and fall in love with eachother as light and dark act like magnets when concerning magic the only drakonis dragons able to pratcice 2 or more types of magic are the royals easily told apart by thier unique facial markings wings and tail

the royals beeing rare also have much more powerful magic the the avreage drakonis dragons and are well respected as are the gem harvesters who gather the food for the drakonis dragon species the workers maintain the few structures they do build mostly temples or hatcheries as well as food storage buildings the fighters protect the hatchling younglings and the adolescent dragons while they grow up

as far as the diet is concerned they only eat crystals and gems they dont require water or anything but they can drink molten lava if they feel the need to allthough its nearly never done
