Though they do have a volatile relationship at least here we see the other side where Wa'al is supportive of Rar, given that it looks like it's a traumatic experience for her.
I imagine on Roia most medical practitioners would probably specialise for one species and perhaps usually their own, given there are the five different species with differences in treatments and ailments. I also imagine you might get some Orthontis or Zaw-Afikh with their high intelligence whom might specialise in certain areas of multispecies medicine, though probably not as common. I imagine as well that medicine is probably quite ahead of that of Earth in certain areas.

You're right, multiple species makes specialisation harder but not impossible, because tooth is still tooth, the way you drill won't really change, just maybe the pace or dose administered for example. Maybe something important to keep in mind, like specific allergies and toxins.
