these are the two demons i now own,
Jackal in the top corner is my Taurus 24/7 pro 9mm which will soon be my working partner at my job as soon as i get the local carry permit. I gave Jackal its name for the simple reason it came ready from the box to be put to work, almost like me and is brand new with allot of safety features built in to help prevent a mishap, and from the field run hasn't done to badly.
Hide is a !!USED!! Glock 17 9mm. its name comes form all the little hidden issues that became a big problem, i bought it from a popular gun store(no research) thinking it was a good deal on a good brand(takes out his sucker stamp), i had fired a Glock before and thought it was a good gun so i bought it with out really looking it over inside and out.
so far from all the little issues to the "it could have blown up" issues this gun has been a problem child. its first owner abused it and didn't maintain it properly. i had to clean it almost to bare metal and re oiled it, replace its extraction pin and some bad parts that would have cost me dearly if i had to depend on it in the field.
thus the Dr. Jeckel & Mr. Hide implication.
my fire arms are stored in a locked gun safe with other locks on the guns. Jackal may not look it, but it is locked and can't be armed with out a special key that i keep with me. and Hide, the box it's stored in is double locked as well as the lock you see on it.
word of advice when it comes to guns ask around and do research before you buy. make sure the gun is a legal caliber that you don't need a special permit for
and make sure the dealer you by from has a good rep.
it could cost you in the long run.
(the buyer beware clause is a must, if it sounds and looks to good to be true, it maybe a turd cut and polished to look like a diamond.)
i personally went to some friends and did allot of research before i got the Taurus
*the fire arms shown are copy right to who ever owns them, this was just me pointing out some things that may help others avoid a bad situation, and this is my opinion so it in no way reflects on ether company or their products, as i am sure each company dose its best to make good and safe quality products.*

i went with the 9mm cause i am still learning, grants i have fired bigger and better, for a starter and something to grow from. i already have a colt 1911 .45 acp being restored to working condition, but my work wont allow me to carry it. and next to a .22 a 9mm is a good place to start from what i have been told.
