the CAW System consist of multipurpose ammunition or "Trounds" (Triangular Rounds) the round is composed of several fin stabilized rods that can be shot in bursts or volleys adapting to every engagement distance, the weapon is complex and heavy and it have been assigned to the ACE program for combat testing, the weapon wasn't really successful as it was not easy to handle and adapt on the go, but skilled operators with the TRION-5R can really tip the scale of a firefight with ease, as the CAW System can be used to let the firearm change behavior from a fin stabilized high speed machinegun to a flechette shotgun or a burst gun.
