Waking up in a starnge place, and a parrot who has human intelligence, this musician has to figure out what's going on, as well about who he is.
You're listening to a bird singing. It's a...pretty song...it feels familiar to you. You're not sure if it's the same one that was playing when you were little, but there is something about this particular song that seems to be drawing your attention.
You start singing along, the bird looks at you. The bird seems to recognize you as well.
"Hello there."
The bird says in a voice that sounds like it belongs on a different planet than yours.
"Hey." You say.
Wait, since when could birds talk? And how come you never noticed a parrot flying around the tree in front of you? Not to mention, this one is orange. All parrots are blue. Or at least blue is the color you've saw parrots before.
"You were singing that song when we first met dear." He tells you.
"We first met?"
Before you can ask any questions, he says:
"I'm glad you're finally awake. I was beginning to get lonely."
You're looking at this bird and something clicks in your head, you remember a name, Kishak. Your mother used to sing that song to you when you were little.
"You're...a parrot." You say, in utter shock.
"Oh, I'm so much more than a parrot." He replies with a chuckle. "But yes, that is one of my names. I'm Kishak. I used to be human you see."
"I don't understand."
"I preferred to soar, to be free, so I did this to myself." Kishak smiles. "I had been watching you all day, hoping you would wake up. I'm glad to see you finally have."
"You were watching me all day?"
"Yeah...I...I'm glad your awake now, dear." Kishak flies over and perches himself on your shoulder. "I would love it if you could help me out today."
"Are you going to tell me what this is all about?" You ask.
"You were put in stasis, and well amnesia is a side effect." Kishak says.
"You're an odd one, that's for sure." You say.
"I have a lot of questions to answer."
"I'll try to keep you as updated as possible."
"Who are you?"
"I am Dr.Kishak." Kishak chirps. "I am affiliated with the Valri, but my base of operations is here on Juri Tower."
"What is this place?"
"I don't know. Geography was never my best subject." He says. "But it's like a tower, or a space ship of some sort."
"How long have I been asleep?"
"I think you've been asleep for about 20 years."
Your heart almost stops.
"20...years?" You ask.
"I'm sorry dear, amnesia is very common with stasis like yours."
"Can you...can you refresh my memories?"
"I'm afraid not."
You start walking.
"Where are you going?" Kishak asks.
"I'm going to get out of here!" You exclaim.
"But what about the monster outside?"
"Monster?" You ask.
"A beast came, and took a few people. I have tried to keep you safe."
You grab the first thing you see.
"What monster?" You ask.
It's a ukulele.
"Are there other people in this room, in stasis?" You ask.
"Yeah! They're right...here." Kishak flew over to a stasis pod.
You walk over. "Is it dangerous to let them out of stasis?"
"No, don't worry." He chirps. "They're safe."
You open the pod. You see who he's talking about. It's an humanoid dragoness.
Part 2: Doors must be another way. (I'm sorry, I'll let myself out.)
