Thanks! Its just 5 pieces or cardstock slightly glued to my balaclava. Helps me plan for the project to make a dummy first.

And go ahead and use this idea. It helps alot for me and might work for you too. I saw someone who built an awesome Lugia suit on the LJ community do this originally. I thank them for the idea whoever they are. :O

You think people would want a paper mask like this? It wouldn't be very durable in the long term since its just cardstock.

lol well i was thinking more for a carving standpoint! because when carving foam i use a cardstock template! :D and itd be a heck of alot easier if it was detailed like this!!!

this already mooks so good you maybe should turn the paper doll head into a paper-made bust. :) would definitely be more lightweight and cheaper than bronce or clay... :)

I used this method a few weeks ago to plan out the base for my alien jaguar, and i gotta say, it turned out to be one of my best foam bases yet because of the preliminary paper head. This is a very clever trick for making heads and i thank you for sharing!
