I sensed something while working. A presence, a dark yet warm presence. It had been coming and going within my hut for a while now. Finally I had it cornered!

This creature gave off ghostly energy. I though having it exorcised would be the right option...then I sensed it's loneliness, sadness....self loathing.

Such a creature shouldn't feel that way about itself and I felt no hostility coming from it, so I let it go. As the weeks went by, it came to visit my hut at night more and more. Hiding less, eventually I even got to touch it and hold it. As curious as I was to look under the sheet, voice in the back of my head told me not to.

Now he's basically adopted me as his owner. After some studying, I learned it was called a "Pokemon". A race of creatures from another dimension. This particular one is called Mimikyu. I named him Spoopy.🖤

Spoopy usually runs off somewhere in the daytime, I mostly see him at night. The sadness I sensed from him has also seemed to disappear.

I'm glad that he knows that as long as he's here on Yoshi's Island, he'll never need to feel lonely again.
