behind the glory we win
is a spark, of a fire,
a shard of the flame
of the spirit of these games..
and when its over its what we keep inside,
more than fame and renown, more than glory..
glory fades, but this flame inside burns on
I guess we have to protect and hold on to it
The 08 Olympics seemed like a time when the world set aside its wars and tragedies and came together.. It was something to look forward to, and now that its gone, I think we've forgotten too soon. We've forgotten what it made us feel like. I think together, we all won. I think we were united. And I miss it.
