Yep. It's really a shame that I, a little b i t c h have to tell a grown man to stop being a racist piss baby

My grandfather has always been the....
Insensitive sort. That's for sure. Before my little cousin, "Sky" came around [hes mixed black+white and is on the darker side] he had a problem with the N word. Thankfully that subsided after Sky was born. But he still has issues with being racist against asians. East asians in particular. Hes made racist remarks when I've done something as simple as...making myself a bowl of rice. To give him the benefit of the doubt, of course, not that this is okay at all. But I dont think he knows that what hes saying is wrong? despite how many times I've gotten snippy with him about it I'm 90% sure he thinks I'm joking. I'm not.
That's where this comes in. Earlier today we went to an outlet store a few cities over. I saw this black and red jacket that I thought looked really comfy [oh my god it is I've been wearing it since we've been home] so ofc I got it ejvjejfe. The thing is, the jacket bears a noticable resemblance to a hanfu or kimono. Ofc not exactly the same as it's a jacket but the resemblance is definitely there. Ya feel? Right, so I was sitting downstairs and he asked if he could see it. Well I showed it to him because I'm not a complete asshole and he started speaking. I knew before he finished his damn sentence EXACTLY what he was gunna say, as hes made the same remarks multiple times before. He said "looks like somethin a sla-" [noooot going to say it. But let's just say it has to do with a general eye type yeh?] And me being me, I gave him a bit of a death glare. He, thankfully fixed himself and made a much less .... stereotyped comment? I dunno man.
He grew up in the 50s and 60s so I guess you cant teach an old dog new tricks. But it still irks me a bit because he makes comments at the most mundane things.
I suppose that's where my mom gets it too eh?
I mean at l e a s t hes not a trump supporter. Nor does he go out of his way to harm POC. Hes just an asshole.
