Perhaps in some of the panel rooms so people could hear the presenters speak, but in the high-traffic areas, everyone had one on. And you couldn't get into the convention and get a badge without a vaccine - if you refused, you couldn't go any further than the lobby.
Otherwise, they did a really fantastic job. Hell, I just got my COVID test results back from the test I had done on Friday - came back negative. Although I understand the concern.
