Reign Under #2 | PAGE 10 (unfinished project)

This comic is my and
kattanaita's unfinished comic book project, Reign Under. We decided to post them because while the project will remain unfinished for the foreseeable future, we do have 11 finished pages, and 1 mostly finished page that are sitting around collecting dust. So we figured, why not!
I liked working on this page because it let me draw a bunch of new, one-off characters in various situations, in particular in Panel 5. That was my favourite panel to do, despite how annoying and time-consuming it was to draw the classroom, I really enjoyed coming up with all of Graham's different classmates. As a side note, Graham is giving a speech on his favourite superhero, Blackstripe.
Anyway, as you can see, the mystery monster is -- as promised -- watching Graham every hour of every day, and though he is scared at first, he eventually gets used to the dark presence as he continues the humdrum life of a poor young orphan. The monster watches Graham as he leaves his home, when he's in his class trying to give a speech, when he's packing his things to find a new home (and not forgetting his beloved Blackstripe comics, of course!), and even when being introduced to said new home. Eventually little Graham barely notices the presence anymore, reading comics in his free time whilst accompanied by a black beast no one else can see.
