Now we return to our scheduled programming,
This was based on an old line art I did back in college, the details are somewhat too heavy-handed by my current standard, but I feel it would be such a shame if it never sees the light of day. I gave it a new lease of life with a little digital coloring and photographic background.
From Airvector.com :
The French Dassault Mirage III and 5 delta-winged fighters were excellent aircraft and were built in large numbers, but their delta-wing configuration gave them almost inherent limitations, such as a long take-off run and limited agility. In the late 1960s, the Dassault company decided to follow the Mirage III/5 with a new technology fighter of more conventional configuration, the "Mirage F1", which proved successful, though not to the extent enjoyed by its delta-winged predecessors.

Speaking of box art, the owner of local hobby shop has the art book of Shigeo Koike of old Hasegawa fame. I think box arts of a more recent newcomer to model market like RFM, Gecko, Miniart, Das Werk, etc. are now moving to the trend of using renders of their 3D models, which I'm trying to explore in my CGI tank model.
And speaking of Das Werk, have you seen their new 1/16 StuG III?
