Made a blue anodized niobium collar necklace for a friend. I love the subtle differences in the color from one ring to the next, with flashes of teal and purple.
We went with niobium because he wanted something fairly heavy, and the other metals that can be colored are quite light. He’ll be providing a lock for the closure, so I just grabbed a spring-opening O ring for the photos.
I’d gladly take custom orders for these, though the niobium is rather more expensive than I can keep stocked. I do plan to stock up on other materials in this ring size, though, to expand my available options for chainmail. Probably my top 3 favorite (non-scale maille) weaves use this ring size, so it does feel kind of silly that I’ve never really stocked anything other than stainless steel at this size.
