Andrea sat on a rock, waiting for her date to eventually arrive. Not that he was late, but rather that she came a little early. Her date, a somewhat shy Meowstic by the name of Marcel, would likely arrive in the next few minutes.

She had met him while on a job together a few months back. She knew Marcel in passing due to his friendship with Andrew, but before that job they had never really talked before. They both made a living as Mercenaries, taking jobs from those who have need of their skill. In particular Andrea was known for her proficiency in swordsmanship, being a bit more head on in combat than one might assume from a psychic type. She was self taught, and quite proud of that fact. Her date Marcel meanwhile was known primarily his archery, as well as his skills in tracking and stealth. His deadeye marksmanship with a bow made even stronger by the very bow he used, which was so powerful that he had to use psychic to help draw the bowstring back.

Their first job together wasn’t necessarily an easy one, in fact the whole thing turned into a mess pretty quickly after it started. The two had been hired by a local wealthy Mayor into retrieving his stolen treasures back from a gang that had robbed his estate earlier that week. The two Meowstics initially tried to sneak into their hideout, but upon being detected it quickly turned into a chaotic battle. The pair held their ground however things soon turned out of their favor and were forced to retreat. They ultimately were able to complete the job, albeit after a lot of mishaps. However this served as a sort of bonding experience for them both and have since then worked together on numerous occasions.

It wasn’t until a month ago that Marcel asked her out, or rather attempted to. In spite of his constant attempts to look cool and otherwise being very capable at his job, Marcel was something of a shy man; especially around women. In truth, his attempt to ask her out was a solid 10 seconds of him blushing brightly and stumbling over his words in an attempt to ask her to dinner. She had laughed, but agreed to go to dinner with him. If anything she found his shy demeanor kind of cute. Since then they have gone on a few dates together, this would be their 5th date. And they were planning on simply going to the nearby Fair for the day.

She heard footfalls coming down the path, snapping her out of her thoughts as she looked up to see Marcel approaching down the path. Andrea smiles and stands up, walking over to meet him halfway. “I hope I didn’t keep you waiting for long.” He says with a smile.

“Nah, just a few minutes. Besides, I'm the one who came early.” Andrea responds as she fell in line walking beside him. “I was in the area, figured I would just make my way here and wait”

“Well if that’s the case you could have gone to the Fairgrounds and we could have met up there”

“If I did that, then we wouldn’t have the chance to walk there together. You know like a proper couple” Andrea states with a slight smile, taking a hold of his hand as they walk. At this Marcel blushes slightly and rubs the back of his head.

“Yeah…. I guess you're right about that” He says with a small chuckle.

The couple make their way down the forest path which leads to the fairgrounds. Unaware that in the foliage surrounding the path they were being followed and watched by an as of yet unknown group, who had different plans for how the pair of Meowstics would spend the day together.

So this pic/story is for my buddy  ZeeKusa. See like... nearly a year ago I was going to make him a birthday gift but I never did. In the following months I kept taking about eventually making something but never really got around to it.

Sooooooo I decided to do something a bit different to make up for my lazy work ethic on this project and make a 3 part picture/story thing. And honestly I think working on this one is... like the longest I have ever spent on a sketch. Like seriously, this took me the better half of this week to make. Usually I only spend like a few hours on each sketch, but I spent a lotta time on this one. Hopefully my effort shows somewhat. Xb

The next two parts will come out... eventually. Honestly may be another week or two before I finish that one if this part is any tell. Anyway hope ya'll like it, and lemme know how my writing is. I wanna write more stories so any constructive criticism on things I need to work on is welcome. This part is short but it is my first real attempt at writing in... a couple years.
