Up next in the Team Katswell Character Guide, we have the final member of the Crimson Komodo Clan, the group's evil and eccentric scientist, Spyder Monkey.

Real name: Dr. Virgil Primington
Date of birth: October 19, 1972

Height: 2'9" (although the Spider Walker Backpack gives him an extra 7 feet, and he can adjust the height to his choosing)

Powers & Abilities:
Spyder Monkey has no special powers or combat training, but he has a really strong and brilliant mind, and can create various gadgets and weapons for the Clan to use. With his Spider Walker Backpack, he can scale buildings, give him the mobility he somewhat lacked, and snag his enemies in battle. He also has knowledge in quantum physics, and can quantumly enhance anything with a special machine he created in New York's Lincoln Center.

Bio:
Before he turned to a life of crime, Spyder was once a world-renowned scientist from New York City by the name of Dr. Virgil Primington. He was a professor of advanced technologies at Lincoln Center, and the inventor of the Spider Walker Backpack, which can allow wearers to extend to higher places to complete complicated tasks. Unfortunately, the scientific community thought his invention wouldn't quite catch on, so they banned him from the community, and he disappeared. Years later, he took the name "Spyder Monkey," and became using his Spider Walker Backpack to commit crimes all over the world.
Spyder Monkey's crimes eventually led him to Petropolis, California, home of the Turbo Undercover Fighting Force, and believes that if he toppled them over, he could be a big name in the criminal underworld. So, using his Spider Walker Backpack, he decided to one-up any rival criminals, but he always got thwarted by Sean Connery Katswell. After Sean's death, Spyder Monkey crossed paths with DOOM's Francisco los Imparable, and during the fight, he got his tail chomped off, and he replaced it with a newer mechanical tail. But, the leader of the Crimson Komodo Clan, Lord Komodo, saw potential in his genius on technology, as well as a liking to his Spider Walker Backpack, so he hired him to be part of his Clan as his brains.
Once on board, Spyder Monkey became a well-respected member of the Clan, and years after Sean's death, he assisted Lord Komodo and the other members of the Clan in ransacking Kitty's old home in Catsville in hopes learning the location of the Katswell Family Archives. After locating the Archives off the coast of Cape Verde, Africa, despite the fact that the Katswells fled to Petropolis, and Spyder Monkey was put in charge of quantumly enhancing Red Beak's spices, doubling their effects on whomever consumes it. He did so with a machine that he himself created back in Lincoln Center, and for the next few years, he would come over to Melbourne, Australia to pick up the spices from Roxy, and bring them back to New York to quantumly enhance it.
While Kitty and the rest of Team Katswell first met Spyder Monkey on his usual spice pick-up in Melbourne, they didn't stop his plans until they got to Lincoln Center in New York City. From what the Team has gathered, the illegal spice that Red Beak has manufactured in Sudan can make whoever eats it go absolutely crazy. So, with the use of Roxy's shipping empire, Red Beak has the spices shipped to New York City where Spyder Monkey's henchmen come pick it up. Afterwards, Spyder Monkey uses that special machine to quantumly enhance the spices' effects ten-fold, and has Benny the Jet transport the spice through the air, and deliver it to all parts of the globe, including Romania, where Count Bloodbath uses it in his elegant dinner parties. Once enough people have eaten the spice, Benny transports them to San Francisco, where the Mad Robin uses his "special treatment" to turn them into Lord Komodo's slaves in opening the Katswell Family Archives. So, naturally, the Team set out to stop him, and put an end to the Crimson Komodo Clan's activities. Kitty was in charge of defeating Spyder Monkey, but he was too tough for her. However, seeing that her friend was in danger, Allison jumped in to stop the crazed chimp from finishing her off. Upon his defeat, Spyder Monkey was taken to Albatrazz Prison, but still vows to get even with Team Katswell one day.
Personality & Traits:
Spyder Monkey is a very intelligent scientist, but he has a tendency to be boastful and take great pride in his work. He loves technology more than anything in the world, and would spend hours in his lab perfecting his inventions for the Crimson Komodo Clan. But, he also prefers not to engage in combat, but his Spider Walker Backpack usually does the fighting for him, as he prefers to watch from the sidelines. He's a thinker, but definitely not a fighter.
While Lord Komodo appreciates his scientific contributions to the Clan's crimes, the rest of the Clan finds him pretty annoying. His scientific genius gets the better of them at times, and they would often throw him aside to get him to stop talking. The only other member that appreciates him is Roxy, who's always grateful for him picking up the spices she receives from Sudan. And, in return, Spyder Monkey allows her to use his technology on the open seas for more crimes.
But, if there's one thing Spyder Monkey hates more than anything in the world, it's the fact that he hates getting disrupted when he's working on his latest project. When he's at work, he tends to tune out the rest of the world around him, so any interference from the outside makes him break his concentration, and gets sidetracked from what he was doing. But, Lord Komodo still appreciates his criminal genius, and Spyder Monkey still strives to be a great criminal scientist to this day.
