Up next in the Team Katswell Character Guide we have another of https://www.deviantart.com/gryphonnecrox20 's crazed TUFF OCs, and basically a dark mirror of what those who don't like Dudley could be, the maniacal cyborg bat known as SteelBat.

Let's have a rundown on him, shall we?

Real name: Hernando Barlow

Date of birth: November 9, 1954

Age: 56

Species: Spectral vampire bat

Height: 7'8"

Occupation: Science teacher, criminal, mercenary

Affiliation(s): Independent

Katswell Status: Enemy

Powers & Abilities:
Because of his cybernetic implants, SteelBat has superhuman strength, endurance, and agility. He can also fly great distances, and uses his fang as a close range weapon and to grasp onto sturdy surfaces. His cybernetic arm can also house a variety of different weapons, like guns and blades, making him a very deadly foe.

Bio:
Born as a strict child, Hernando Barlow had an anger management problem, and whenever upset, he would either attack the one who teased him. While no one was sure where this problem originated from, but the most likely reason was probably that his parents were to busy to look after him themselves, making him pretty anti-social. Hernando tried various things to control his bad temper and be more tolerant to the world around him, but every time he just let his emotions get the better of him, and would just lash out at everything. But, he managed to graduate from Barkley University with a PhD in biology, and became a science teacher in Petropolis, California.
While teaching at George Washingtoad Middle School in Petropolis, Hernando came across a young Dudley Puppy, and took an immediately disliking to him due to his low intelligence. He always was strict on his own students, but Dudley's childish behavior REALLY got the better of him. However, the one event that sealed the deal for Hernando was the annual science fair where Dudley wanted to show off how explosives play out. But, unfortunately, one of the explosives went off prematurely, and struck Hernando on his right side, nearly killing him. This resulted in both Dudley and John getting disqualified, despite Dudley apologizing to Hernando for his accident, and Hernando was rushed to the hospital immediately.
The doctors found out that the burns were SO severe, they had to cover them up with cybernetic implants, which took about four hours to apply. After the operation, Hernando was fueled with 3 things: anger, revenge, and sorrow. He then broke out of the hospital, quit his job at the Middle School, and turned to a life of crime now under the name "SteelBat." He began to embrace his new malice nature, and became angry at the world for making fun of him.
He would cross paths with Dudley again after finding out that he's a part of Kitty Katswell's team of crime-fighters Team Katswell as their demolitionist. So, in an effort to lure them out, SteelBat raided the city's local Z-Mart, and caused a power outage in the store once they showed up. He then kidnapped Kimiko, and flew off to the tallest building in the city, and nearly killed her if the rest of the team hadn't shown up to stop him. But, once he saw Dudley, he immediately went after him, only for the team to regroup and come up with a new plan. After learning that it was Dudley's science project accident that caused SteelBat's creation in the first place, Kitty decided to give him the honor of taking him down, seeing how it was HIS mess to begin with. So, after catching up with SteelBat, Dudley confronted him, and put his past sins aside to bring him to justice. After defeating him, Dudley gained new respect from the team, and SteelBat hated him and the rest of Team Katswell even more so than he did.

Personality & Traits:
SteelBat is pretty much everything the TUFF fandom hates about those who don't like Dudley: he's psychotic, rude, anti-social, and prone to outbursts of rage when provoked. He's always hated Dudley since he was his middle school science teacher, and always found a sense of satisfaction whenever he gets a detention. But, he tries to maintain a professional demeanor, and try not to let it get to him, but all that was gone when he became a half-cyborg criminal.
However, unlike most Dudley haters, SteelBat has NO feelings for Kitty whatsoever, seeing how he thinks she's nothing more than a cat living a wasted life. And, although John understands why he hates his cousin, he doesn't like how he deals with his inner aggression, seeing it as "no better than him." He also refuses to team up with any other bad guys, or offer his services to any other criminal mastermind like Birdbrain or Ripclaw, since he would rather be alone.
As time went on, though, SteelBat's cybernetics began to take control of his conscious, giving him more of a cold nature almost every day. He's so blinded by his hatred for Dudley and anyone associated with him, that he mostly barges in without thinking clearly, leaving him vulnerable to an attack. He also can't seem to find any kind of love, which adds even more to his anti-social lifestyle. But, one day, he hopes to be free of his hatred, and go on to live a normal life again.

Well, that's SteelBat's interpretation for "TUFF: Team Katswell." Hope you like it, Willie!
