Even when seated, the golden retriever was at least a head above the feline. Despite his confused expression, Ty opened his jaws wide and inviting to the unacquainted cat. A blast of cool minty breath was the first thing to greet Xavier’s sense. Most preds in Xavier’s previous encounters had the breath of a dumpster, so the smell really was a welcoming surprise. The next thing that stood out to Xavier was the gleaming white fangs that perfectly lined Ty’s mouth. Xavier tentatively touched each pointed tip, testing each tooth’s sharpness. When no blood trickled off his fingertips, Xavier reassured himself he was safe. As he was doing this inspection, Ty’s tongue rolled out like a slick pink carpet; a predator’s way of inviting a meal. With the invitation out there, Xavier decided now was his time to act. First, he reached out his tiny hands down to the back of Ty’s throat, allowing the slick saliva to coat his fur. Then he began inserting his head past the enamel threshold, making sure to avoid scrapping. Ty, meanwhile, eagerly licked his tongue against Xavier’s shirt and chest. Unlike his usual meals, Ty allowed himself to savor the sensual flavors of his willing prey.
