Very nice!! I'd suggest more narrowband filtering and clipping on the radio portion.

Actually, this is more correct, as the con would be using FM band radios, rather than AM CB style radios. They have a little better fidelity.

I just fiddled around with equalization until I got something that sounded kinda right. If someone has a better method, I'd love to know it, since I use it in other contexts.

Usually you just want to boost the frequency range from 1,500 to 3,500 Hz while cutting back on the low and high ends. Then, if you can, inject just a trace of white noise (static), but not too much.

depending on the radio in use at the con the bandwidth could be as narrow as 6.25MHZ (FRS and newly mandaded commerical radios). The radios MFM uses as a bandwidth of25MHZ. I agree the 2way radio parts sounds "to clean", the audio needs to sound a bit more "tinnier". More trebble, less bass, and maybe a bit more hiss. I know that goes against eveythign a good sound recording shold be :)

Well, I chose Pibb for two reasons:

1) It kinda rhymed with "chips".

2) Dr. Pepper, which Pibb imitates, is very popular at cons for some reasons. I have seen Mr. Pibb disappear quite quickly from con suites.
