Ben Grimm in the Ultimate FF costume but with a bit more edgy look on the face. Those rocks were such a pain...Might have to work on it some more. Xd

Now that I think about it, yeah it kinda does. Especially with the latest movie that came out.
And yeah, I'd love to animate but I'm too lazy to repeat pictures into an animation. That's why I'd rather do comic book (Western) art. Too bad Miami has no scene to do that. DX

I've been a fan of the FF for a while now (though I never went to see the movie, heard it was a disappointment... Wait, why are they making a sequel?). Gotta say, I like that 'forehead and jaw' look that you gave him. A unique, yet remarkably well-placed look! Also, nice touch giving him more of a professional wrestler's physique, rather than a bodybuilder's!

this is really great. I love the Thing :3 Really nice style, proportions and pose in this one, I definately think you should work on it and finish it, it would look fantastic finished. my only suggestion would be to reduce or remove the 4 rock sections on the back of his forearm closest to us. other than that its killer

Whoa.. now this brings back memories. Especially given the whole Marvel Universe Civil War story that's going on. [He actually went to France..]
I'll give you points immediately as I know those rocks much have been hell and then some to draw.
But I love that old fashioned Marvel Universe that takes a guy back ya know? Won my respect for this one~

I like the OG universe but I liked the way the story was told in the Ultimate version (except Ben coming hella out of nowhere during the D-Day while "exploring" o_O). And I heared Civil War was good. I have the 1st issue but stopped when I had no money for the other isssues. Now they're 15 a pop. My wallet is going to hate me now.

There are several universes now that MARVEL comics can't seem to make up it's mind, the Civil War series, I completely passed by. The Original storylind (Treasure it) the Ultimate Story (like it somewhat) and the House of M story (which Ben Grimm is the sole Sulvivor) and was Called "IT" instead of Thing... on which he's Treated like a Household DOG or pottytrain animal.
I hate what MARVEL is doing with their characters and the prices for these Comics are really high, wasting your Money on a comic with POOR storylines and even WORST shitty artwork.... I stop collecting Comics LONG ago right after DC COMICS did with CRISISES on Infinite Earths & Death of Superman.
MARVEL Comics lost it's flair when they started this HEROES REBORN & ULTIMATE CRAP!!! sure they're HEROES i love very much in the DC/MARVEL Universe like The THING here... but do yourselves a FAVOR here, if you want to see MARVEL/DC art done right... Draw them yourselves.

That's definitely true. I like the heroes but there is barely any continuity (except for Civil War...Now that one is a big "OMFGBBQ!!!!"). That's why I usually get indy comics. The few Marvel/DC comics I get now is Runaways and the occasional "must have" books (9/11 Spidey,Hush, The Killing Joke, etc.).
You can hardly blame them though. They're riding on the foundation of fanboys and American history (lol). If they do anything drastic they run the risk of losing readers (Marvel hasn't had this problem though. Lot's of buzz going on with them. Check out CNN.com right now if you know what I mean. :O)
Either way I love them to death. Without comic books I'd probably be some dumb jock with an NFL contract and 30 million dollars...wait. o.O
