'Why does this temple need a giant block to keep the door closed?'
‘I guess the Ancients that built this place thought it would keep people out,…’
“Yeah,… my main job as Guardian is keeping people out of the ruins where the prisons of the Dark Forces are,… loooong time ago the Ancient ancestors of the Islanders built these fortresses over those prison,… filling them with traps and seals and all kinds of stuff to also keep people out. So, since they do the same job I do, I try my best to keep these traps and seals in good shape. But,… of course there are Thieves and ‘Tomb Raiders’ who feel the need to undo these seals, and disable these traps,… like they are some sort of ‘puzzle’ for them to solve. And who has to not only stop these thieves, and return the things they steal, but then reset and fix everything they undo? Yup, you guessed it,… thankfully I have Lucia to help me with it today,… I’ll have to get us a good meal to thank her after all this.”
'Don't you have a easier way to do this?'
‘Yeah, uhn,… I could bring Ozzy along to help,…’
'Nevermind.'

Another great commission from
usagiforehead showing one of the downsides of the life of an Island Guardian,… clean up. ;). Usagi really captured this idea beautifully, and the girls look lovely in his style. I love the attention to detail, from the cracks in the stone, to the green band of what Ember wears under her flowers and leaves, a detail most artists miss, even the little hint of her shackle. You really get a great sense of straining from them, from their postures and expression, to the sweat drops here and there, combined with the quake lines of the block you really feel just how big and heavy that thing is, and the exertion required to move it. Their colors come out so vibrant and lively, and I love the shine on their hair, plus a rather nice view of Lucia’s backside. ;). Another lovely picture from Usagi, and a very fun collab. :).

Yeah. When it comes to being a guardian or a leader of any area, location, or island, it's never an easy job. Especially for areas like these that are meant to seal or trap something. I can empathize with what Ember is going through in a way, it kind of was like that when I was leader for a video game XD . Bit at least on the Bright side, Ember has friends who can help her out :) . And it seems that Lucia is there to pitch in on the help :) . This is a great picture to see :) , getting a good look at how traps are resetted or have to be maintained. Though considering it involves large boulders and stones, it's not an easy task ;) .
Oh, indeed, it's not as glamorous a job as people think it is, and someone has to make sure those traps and seals are kept in good working order. Yeah, Ember is certainly grateful to get help in situations like this, and is lucky to have Lucia there to help. Yeah, a nice picture that tells abit more about her island, and yeah, clearly no easy task. ;)
A job as the guardian of a island can be rough, and this is no exception, though it does make for a great pic! You can really tell the straining from all the sweat and the barely moving rock. Always nice to get a good back view from Lucia, and great to see Usagi get every detail that's on Ember, even including the green band that a lot of artists miss. Great story as well, giving us a little bit more inside into who build all the temples, which is some interesting lore, as well as some more of Ember's frustrations which is always fun for character. At least she has Lucia to help her when she needs it. ;)
Indeed, and this really is a great picture to show that. Yeah, the straining expressions and the sweat really shows how hard it is for them to push that rock, and it is not easily moving. A great back view indeed, and yeah, Usagi has a great eye for detail, to pick up on that, which most others miss. Glad you like the story, always great to add more lore to the island, and the builders of the temples, and yeah, more insight into Ember and her frustrations. Indeed, and Ember is very happy to have Lucia's help. ;)
Indeed so. Yeah, those really do give across just how hard it is for them to push the rock. Indeed it is a nice view, and yeah, he pics up on quite a few different details. I defiantly do, and yeah, always nice to hear more about the islands history and why the temples are there to begin with, and yeah, giving more inside into what Ember doesn't like. Yeah, gotta love having friends who can help you out with some dirty work. ;)
