Finally I could write a short story again. It was done during a period, when I was really depressed, so the story could be a little dark. The first part is not dangerous yet.

Here is a brief summary in english, because the story is written in german:

A student goes on a journey to visit ruins and abandoned places to find out about their backgroundstories. His research leads him to the ruins of the village named cliff. Dark rumors have it, that the villagers vanished because of a curse and that a rat beast man, who once lived in the tower nearby was responsible for that to happen.
The student investigates the ruins of the village and finds several astounding statues decorating the houses and the temple of the gods. As he could not find any clues on why the villagers dissappeared, he decides to investigate the tower of the rat and finds a garden nearby with many flowers and trees and everywhere statues of the hands of one and the same artist. He is curious that many statues in this garden are about the topic of slavery and captivation.
He takes a break on a bench and asks loud, just to himself: Why have the poeple of Cliff vanished?
Much to his surprised a voice answers him and he meets a strange old man who reveals to be the last citizen of Cliff and he is willing to tell the student the story about the truth why his people had vanished...
