Beneath the young thieve the defeated warrior bowed, listening humiliated as the prideful one just continued to go on and on about information and knowledge that had been drilled into the guardian's head since he was a young lad.
Annoyance and anger swelled within the guardian's heart. Yes, he had been bested by the young thief. Yes, he had failed at the only important task that he was ever given. All he wanted to do was to just get in one good swing at the young thief or depart. Yet due to the ritual that had granted him immortality; he was obligated to listen and do whatever the bearer of the sacred treasure said.
Sanjaya is talking to Ajit, the former guardian of the temple. I'd say more... but mind's sorta blank at the moment! :D
