Getting so close to the end of my college career! I'm working hard on setting up my portfolio and my identity so I can market myself to employers.
This is the design of the business cards I'm going to be ordering. I'm planning on adding a dark blue foil to the logo to make it really pop. Its gonna look so cool x3
Also... forgive the big black dot. xD I couldn't remember what info I put in the qr code, so I just made it unreadable. lulz

Just curious... did you wind up going with the foil? If I remember, adding foil to business cards adds, like, $50 or more to the cost of cards. Raised ink on gloss can also be a bit challenging as well (though faux raised ink might be easier.)
I remember looking into getting foil done for my business cards when I worked at a print shop and it was too expensive, even at Cost for us.

I did get the foil and I'm really happy with it. It added a really nice effect to the logo, makes it really stand out from the background and adds a touch of 'change' when you move the card.
I paid something like $89 for 1000 foil on silk 16pt. Regular silk 16pt is something like $68 for 1000. Not a huge difference, really.

Also, I'll see if maybe I can take a picture of the ones I got... dunno if a photo would do justice though. If you come to MFF, I can give you one in person. ;P

*chuckles* yeah. The biggest cost of business cards is the set-up. Since you can get about 10+ out of a standard sheet, they only run 100 sheets for 1,000 cards. Of course, if you have full-color, they have to waste about 50 or more sheets just for alignment and the likes... plus not only do they have to create the plates for CMYK, but the foil also takes a die (typically) and.. and.. well, yeah. That's why there's just a $10 difference between 250 and 1,000 cards sometimes. 'Course, you're probably already well aware of all of this. ^.^
As for MFF, it is highly unlikely that I will be attending this year. My plans for it kinda all fell apart... completely.
