- Bothea's temperature at the surface often reach 50°C/120°F at noon in the desertic regions. A Yevat's only hope of survival is to find a shadow to rest. Most the local fauna will also avoid the sun at this period of the day. Luckily, Bothea is a fragmented planet with lots of cliffs and caves, so it's easy to find a place to rest.
- There's no water here, like anywhere at the surface of Bothea. All the water is undergound, in caves, where Mani and Kubo (the two suns)'s rays can't reach.
- Food is rare in the desert; many animals eats other animals or insects.
- Most of the desertic Yevatem live underground, in desert caves.
- Yevatem rarely travel across the desert, they prefer to use the underground rivers; it's faster and safer.
- But it's possible to spot some "landmarks": Yevatem sometimes mark paths between to towns with piles of rocks when a path looks safe. If you're lost in the desert, find and follow these rocks!
