Slobea - Slobea is the smallest continent in the world, almost more considered as an island to many. A snowy tiga covers the entire northern continent and serves as a stopping point between Everton and Tritell for airships.Country
Slobea - Just south of the arctic cold of Tritell, stands the island continent of Slobea. A far more temperate climate when compared to its northern sibling, Slobea is best recognized for its vast taiga forest that spans nearly the entirety of its land. Due to it being a rough middle point between the kingdoms of Retal and the country of Mosfell, Slobea has found itself as one of the wealthiest countries and its port cities ever populated.Cities
Karsek - The most prosperous port city in all of Slobea, Karsek has been a center of trade and has constant wealth flowing through it. However, despite this amount of success, many Karsek citizens find themselves in poverty. Unable to pay for lodging, food, or even clothing at times, many of these homeless end up jumping on ships as stowaways or attempting to sign up as sailors. Though, despite this, the quality of care that Karsek gives to merchants is often considered far above even the likes of Everton.
Stanim - When the first settlers arrived in Slobea, they were fortunate that the only other sentient beings to inhabit the continent were the largely peaceful Arctic Feralfolk. Unfortunately, after spreading to other parts of the continent, the Orcs followed where the possibilities of profitable raiding appeared. Setting up Chilled Orc Village quickly, the Orcs forced the small city of Stanim to fortify themselves quickly, to hold back the vicious raiders. Due to the many decades of defense and counter raids, Stanim soldiers are often considered to be the highest quality available in Slobea.
Slarov - When the settlers of Slobea found the Arctic Feralfolk, they were mostly spread out in small villages all throughout the Slobean forest. After years of interactions and cooperation with the settlers, the Feralfolk began to consolidate and founded the city of Slarov. Many small villages still exist through the dense taiga forest, but Slarov serves as the main home for many Slobean Feralfolk. While technically founded as an independent city-state, they eventually agreed to be part of the Slobean Empire. Causing Slobea to be one of the only unified continents of the world. While not as prosperous as its counterparts, Slarov has carved itself a purpose in Slobean society by using its close proximity to The Border Peaks, to set up many mining operations.
Chilled Orc Village - Chilled Orc Village is only a recent development on the island continent. Starting as a small fleet of ships that came to raid and pillage the rapidly developing settlements of Karsek and Stanim, they eventually grew into the large village seen today. However, unlike much of their kin on other continents, the Orcs of Slobea are far more careful and selective with their targets. This is due to the mostly united focus Slobeans can put on these Orcs, as there are few kingdoms to directly compete with. Notable Locations
Forest of Slobea - The vast taiga that makes up the majority of Slobea’s land is its most identifying feature, the dense and snow covered forest supporting all manner of life that can barely exist anywhere else. However, not everything about the forest is good, and it’s just as dangerous as any other place in the known world. All manner of dangerous creatures exist, and the cold temperature is always a threat.
The Border Peaks - While the mountain ranges of other continents are far more impressive, The Border Peaks are the only ones of their kind in Slobea. Though, in comparison with many other mountain ranges, they are the least remarkable.
The Imperial Tree - Much like the rest of its kind around the known world, The Imperial Tree spreads life throughout the island continent of Slobea. Standing tall and steadfast at the heart of The Slobean Forest, the elves of Fel’tari had requested the Empire of Slobea to protect this tree. Since then, Slobea gave it its current name, and has protected it with the promise that the Elves funded its protection with the trade of elven jewelry and booze.
