Ragnor Meets Zera


The green bangaa Ragnor watched in the distance as a army charged into a cave on a mission to kill the large dark dragoness Zera. He thought "I see the logic in there plan of attacking her at night while she is still gravid. Yet there is a fatal flaw to that plan." Suddenly the many loud screams echoing from the cave and smelled burning fur and flesh. Ragnor just snickered and thought "The flaw is that they are still attacking a dragon who is in a defensive position that has been ready to defend herself since she started being chased."
Soon ragnor heard a loud bellow of pain from the dragoness, which caused him to clench his fists saying to himself "She is hurt, BUT there is no way to help her now, She is hurt, BUT if I go to help her I will just get killed like the other soldiers." finally Ragnor calmed down because he knew he had to stick with his plan, the only thing he can do now is wait for morning to come, so he might as well get some rest.
Hours later the sun finally started to rise over the distant mountains which caused Ragnor to happily spring awake quickly equip his armor and grabbed his gear then began his journey to the cave. Once in the cave he noticed that the main path is scorched and is littered with dead soldiers. Ragnor smirked thinking to himself "That is a clever trap she had last night." Ragnor took long way by climbing up a cave wall in order to not be incinerated. Finally at he top of the cavern wall Ragnor looked down and saw Zera sleeping at the bottom of the cave. Suddenly he was filled with mixed emotions, he was happy that he finally found her, sad that she is badly wounded, and scared because he knows what will happen if he angers Zera. So Ragnor views the battle wounds from above and noticed dozens of arrow wounds with some of the arrows still in her, deep cuts from either swords or battle-axes. Ragnor started wondering if he had enough supplies until he saw the large dragoness's eye slightly open. He quickly jumped back down the wall in time to dodge the massive tail swipe.
Zera released a thunderous roar that echoed through the cavern and yelled "Foolish warrior, you can see how I defeated a army and yet you still think you have a chance to kill me!"
Ragnor quickly climbed up the wall and responded "I am not here to hurt you." Ragnor took off his armor "I am here to help you, to protect you, to serve you."
Zera was puzzled until she realized what was happening and said while chuckling "You are a bangaa who learned the ways of the dragoon, but want too help dragons... I thought someone told me that as a joke." Zera looked at Ragnor with a toothy grin and said "Because of that good laugh I will give you a second to escape before I torch you."
Ragnor put his hand over his chest and knelt down then said aloud. "I came here to help you, both of us know you are badly wounded so..." Ragnor got interrupted when a large boulder flew through the cave and broke apart on the side of the wall.
The dragoness growled and saying "Are these friends of yours?" The bangaa quickly yelled back "No, and I will stop them." With that said Ragnor ran out of the cave and immediately saw four anthro-boar warriors loading up a catapult for another shot.
Ragnor was able to quickly get them before they fired the catapult again and told them "You do not need fire the catapult again because... because the dragon is already dead." The leader grinned and fired the catapult again and said "We will stop when the cave collapses."
Ragnor thought to himself "The nice way does not work so I guess I have to stop them the fun way." the bangaa then ran over to one of the soldiers loading up another shot and grabbed the back of the boar's neck tightly with one hand and quickly ripped out the boars throat in what seemed to be a bloody blur. The other three immediately grabbed there weapons and charged to avenge there fallen comrade. Ragnor smirked as they got closer and finally pulled out his curved blade long sword, with what seemed to be a few effortless strikes cut apart all of the boar warriors and dismantled the catapult.
Ragnor ran back towards the cave and thought "That was over to fast to be a battle or even a fight." After the bangaa climbed to the position he was in before those boars interrupted his moment he was happy seeing that the last catapult shot did not hit the dragoness.
"So, you killed them." Zera's voice echoed through the cave as she continued "That proves you do not want some others to kill me... and you are right that I am still badly wounded." Zera tone turned softer and gentler as she said "If you really want me to trust you then come down here."
A large grin went across Ragnor's scaly face as he jumped down from the cave wall towards the black dragoness. Surprisingly as soon as Ragnor landed Zera moved large her large head over and gave him a nuzzle, at first Ragnor just blushed then he suddenly felt a rush of cold and as soon as the she moved back it stopped. Carefully Zera laid on her side exposing her largest wounds as she told the bangaa "I trust you enough to mend my wounds after I witnessed you killing those against me and the fact that the taste of your soul lets me know you do not want to hurt me... BUT LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR, The only way I will trust you enough to be my personnel servant and live in the same cave as me is if you keep all of these warriors away from me until after I lay my eggs. If you do that for me then we can get to know each other."
Ragnor smiled then got out his medical equip and inspected Zera's worse wound on the side of her pregnant belly. Unfortunately the size and placement of the wound makes it hard to heal because the scab will open if she moves her waist. He looked Zera directly in the eyes and said sadly "This is worse then I thought, I have ways to stop it from infection and can make it heal faster but with this deep of wound you will have to stay still for a day or two."
The dragoness sighed and responded "I will... but are you truly going to protect me from the warriors that are trying to kill me because I am in my weakest state?"
Ragnor just looked up at her knelt down on one knee and said "I will protect you with my life, and be your servant that will tend to all of your needs." and with that said he started tending her wounds.
