Fuck yeah that's a VHS of the first episodes of Pokemon. Let me ask you all something, maybe this was just something I did this, but when you were younger, did you buy Pokemon first or watch the show?
I remember the first commercial in Canada I saw was the one with the vacuum, and I went down later that day and bought it with the money I had been earning raking leaves. When I was younger, video games were how I used to escape my parents fighting, and this game... This game is what helped me through alot of times when I was younger.
Anyway, I guess I wanted to ask if anyone else used to say "I choose you!" when you used your favorite pokemon? Did you want to use a Pikachu because Ash did? I dunno, I guess when we were younger we did silly things.

I dont exactly remember which I saw first, but I do know my family was to poor at first to get me the game, let alone a gameboy. So my brother and I would watch the show on TV and I made up our own little bored game to play together. I drew the pokemon out myself and cut them out into game pieces. We also couldn't afford the tapes so I just recorded them off the tv. Funny thing is, those are some of my fondest memories as a child.
I'm glad to hear it. I dont think money should equate happiness. I understand that money makes the world go around, but the company of friends and family and simple things should make people happy. I'm also glad that I wasnt the only one who had a better childhood because of this show.
