Now for a fun picture of
SaintAbsol's Houndoom/Lycanroc/Yvetal hybrid, Helya!
Gotta say I really love her design and learning more about her character she's also just a great character too! ^^
So here we have Helya just casually stepping by a city and indulging a-bit in her size~
I actually really had a goodly amount of fun with this and even got a sizable amount of experimenting and learning in too! The posing and "from behind" are certainly things I haven't done too much with yet, but I'm quite happy with the results after several tweaks in the digital sketch refinement stage.
I do still feel like I could do more to make environements at this scale look more interesting, but I'm getting steadily more comfortable with making landscapes look better and less... splotchy?
Also had some good fun with things like the dirt falling from her paws, trying a new approach for the paw/toe pads and loving the results, subtle atmospheric depth, and that cloud she's walking through <3
This was also my 2nd time trying out some post-shading levels manipulation to smooth out the intensity of my shading. It's still VERY much a learning experience, but I'm getting some solid help and tips and hopefully I'll get more comfortable with it with time ^^;
Helya belongs to
