Well here is my arwing project completely revamped. I decided to completely remodel it. I whipped out most of the geometry in one day. Over the course of texturing it I added some more details to it. The overall texture is 1024 with a 256 map for the cockpit. This model has no normalbump maps to it. I’m modeling this for a game called “FreeSpace 2” which to say the least is a bit dated (99’) but it’s a good combat flight sim.

I’m not quite finished with the texturing yet but this is about 85-90% just need to mess with a few areas before I’m satisfied enough to start worrying about exporting this thing into FS2.

the reason for the revival of this project is I found an interesting little mod for Freespace. Its starfox related, the front end of the game has been modded to starfox space craft. All the average baddies your used to blasting out of the sky plus some new stuff. From what I can tell its only the front end you can modify but they are making a single player Champaign to go with all the multi player stuff.

Its not released yet and all things considered its still at the very least in the Alpha stages. So I’m going to assume its pretty new.
