Sorry about this one taking so long. I've had it drawn out for several days now but I just wasn't sure about posting it as I wasn't quite happy with how the pic came out. Particularly the perspective seems off to me and I definitely need more practice on my canines. For the sake of the story, it shall be posted though. I might just redraw it some day if it really continues to annoy me :P
First off, let the story continue!
Taking a moment to relish the warm sun beating down on her, warming her all over, Carbon then started moving again, strolling down the path leisurely as she drank in her surroundings; the tall trees in the distance; the soft green grass waving in a light breeze. Glancing sideways at another warm laugh from the woman on the blanket, she grinned as she thought she could just barely hear a "Barry, you're incorrigible..." before she ended up out of earshot again.
Turning her attention back to the path ahead of her, she looked back just in time to see a flash of yellow coming right at her. Someone in the background yelled "Ryan! Watch out!", but it was already too late, the flash of fur turning into a very real, solid weight as she was knocked off her feet and into the grass next to the path.
Pushing herself up, Carbon shook her head to clear it before trying to make sense of the situation. Next to her a golden retriever was already up on his feet, bouncing nervously from foot to foot as he looked down at her, while in the distance a german shepherd came running. Realising the grass and her own 'padding' had managed to catch the brunt of the fall, she smiled up at the canine still hovering over her, trying to let him know she was fine. Just then the shepherd came up next to him, slightly out of breath as he spoke: "You okay?"
A bit winded, the german shepherd came running, skidding to a stop before leaning forward, looking down at her. Noticing her smile, he relaxed visibly, casting a glance at his friend before extending a hand to help her up, asking: "You okay?"
Carbon just nodded, not about to tell him about the slightly sore spot on the side of her breast where she must've come into contact with Ryan's elbow. Accepting the shepherds help, she quickly righted herself before straightening her clothes a bit. Brushing some grass of her skirt, she frowned a moment at the green stain on the cloth before turning her attention back to the shirtless guys in front of her.
"You must be Ryan." She said, pointing a finger at the golden retriever, who looked back sheepishly before suddenly bursting into flustered speech. "Sorry about that, really... I didn't watch where I was going and well... really sorry I knocked you over..." A hand on his arm from his friend silenced him and the german shepherd grinned, shaking his head a bit at his friend's hopelessness. "I think she gets it, Ryan..." Turning his attention back to her, he extended a hand again and smiled. "I'm Colin, by the way"
Carbon giggled softly at their exchange before taking the offered hand and shaking it. "Susan. Pleased to meet you."
Apologies at using a golden retriever instead of a labrador, btw, but he fit the story better as I could make him a bit of a ditz and besides: floofy and furry is cuter if you ask me.
Now on to what happens next. It has already been sorta implied they'd go to the icecream store, but that's not set in stone. If they do, I would like to hear a bit more on what happens, either on the way there or while there. It gives me something more to draw. If they don't go to the icecream parlor... well... I'll need a good description anyhow :P
Soooo... what happens next?
The deadline will be next tuesday when I come home from work (17:30ish CET).

You and me too. I still would like to redraw this particular one, though, as I've got a far better pose in mind by now, not to mention a better sense of how to draw those two.
P.S. Not much on my VCL account that I haven't posted here. I once started the account and never really did anything with it.
