Even leaving out nearly losing each other after the Le Paradox incident -- even after the fallout, with Carmelita's life getting harder and harder -- too much had happened since the Cooper Gang and Carmelita had plunged back in time once more to find Sly. Revelations that had hit too close to home. Threats to their lives that had come too close to ending everything.
