That's a pretty good summary.

Quite simply sublime. Love the sustained sounds and bassy grooves. Also, tremolo adds additional greatnesses. I do think the drums might be a little abrupt at times, but please don't consider that a critique. I think it's a great song. :)

I hear the abruptness. Maybe a bit more reverb on the drums would soften it? Or I just have an inclination for dramatic changes over natural flow.

Oh, I think the active, dynamic style itself works well, though it may be a bit too much at times. It's a choice though, and maybe the're a few people who for some reason get bored easily by instrumentals that greatly benefit from it. But a tiny bit of warm reverb can't hurt!

It actually sounded like you've cut off the natural fade at the dramatic point 2:17 in, but upon listening again it's more likely you were just very sharp with it. All in all it's one of those cases where the sounds become easier on the ears with repeated listens. :)
