Its called Winiffred. Used to work at the Lake Grassmere Salt Works.
Engine is a 2cyl Lister Diesel. I guess the loco would be a Ruston design? I think...

Well, I did a quick look-see and Rusty's real-life basis is also a Ruston design, so I suppose that's why they have a similar design.

And Winiffred's a good name - I could totally see that engine being a Winiffred

Yeah last I knew, due to a lack of interest/manpower, the 2ft railway group is in the process of being disbanded unfortunately. Most of the assets are going to the Blenheim Riverside Railway, who run a very nice operation. So unfortunate silver lining I guess?

Went to Ferrymead in December 2024 and saw this loco. The track i EXTREMELY overgrown and I don't think the cab has any controls anymore, so it's nice to see a photo of it when it was still used!

Yeah its now owned by the National Railway Museum unfortunately, cause they basically drove the 2ft Railway out of existence due to false promises and never ending crap...... Such a sad sight now that place, I haven't been back there for awhile now, but it was depressing when I was last there :(
