Personally, I think it's still a benefit to Loona that she's got a friend outside of work, even if the romantic angle didn't wind up working out for her -- having a social group you can lean on is an important emotional and psychological asset for anyone, and I don't doubt that Hellhounds are as much social creatures as humans are.
(And as an aside, are we certain Loona's straight? The Hazbin cast has representatives of just about every facet of the LGBTQ+ spectrum, so who's to say everyone's favorite hot-headed Hellhound teen isn't bi or pan? The fact that she's attracted to Tex doesn't necessarily rule out any other options, and we've seen that she gets along best with Millie out of the IMP crew, i.e. the only other girl in the company.)
