Bentayga is a shaman, and his duty is to deal with different kinds of spirits. With time, some of them become allies, and may assist him when he really needs it.
His shape and mind can't change, as his own patron spirit doesn't allow so, but their timely aid may be just what they needed to get out of a tight situation.
Crow and their spawn are as mischievous and cunning as a werecat may be. This, plus not hitting the ground after any mishap, quickly put them in each other's favour.

I'm still undecided if he can actually take off or just glide. It's not like his bones go hollow, or anything. Nothing that making a deal with the spirits of Air can't fix, though 🤔
Also, yes, having air ram your feline flat nose as you fly is probably REALLY uncomfortable without the beak 😆
