Sketch - Muscle Madness
Y'all really thought I'd make a new monster form and not make a sketch page for it? ππ
Wanted to explore some movement for her, as well as the muscle structure on her back and ended up doing a fun lazy sketch too.
Because even muscle mutants need naps. π
(She's actually not on this form very often, mostly because it DOES actually cause her alot of pain to fully transform, as compared to the tolerable soreness when only half-muscled. So when she DOES mutate, she stays that way for an extended period of time to not waste energy.)

Ooooo muscle anatomy study!!! I love seeing material like this for characters it makes the science/biology nerd part of my brain so happy!^^
Gotta say you did a fantastic job with this!!! Especially the back and leg muscles, those are always difficult.
Forgive me if you already explained this somewhere else >< but I am curious as to the webbing design on her hands? It looks cool for sure! But what exact purpose does it serve? Does it allow her to...help hold onto surfaces better when climbing around like some kind of sticky pad? I apologize it's just something tweaking my weird brain ><

Working with her has definitely given me ALOT of appreciation for it, and references are a godsend ππ But seriously, other than my werewolves and my other RE8 mutation designs, Emelias mutation is... probably one of my absolute favorite monster designs I've done. It's oddly fluid and smooth, and her movement had a massive range to play with in this form. She's a very twisty bab, and its fun to stretch the muscles and see how far the bone structure can be pushed!
To answer your question- And its a good one!
The webbing doesn't exactly have any SPECIFIC purpose, I don't think... Or, one hasn't been 'shown' to me, at least. π She can scale walls and ceilings using her claws and speed, though I guess if I thought about it, the webbing may help a bit with the surface area of the grip, if that makes sense??? Otherwise they don't serve much of a purpose other than to look cool, I guess! π

The overall asthetic of her design reminds me of the Cerberus, the infected Dobermans if they stood on their hind legs with a bit of human tossed into them. The skinless aspect conjures images of the Colossal Titan from the attack on titan series. Blending the two in my head results in making Emmy even more terrifying XD
Personally I find her terrifyingly beautiful and can see why Heis would fancy her on the surface level alone.
You mentioned her movement being a mix of feline and raptor, perfect <3.
The surface area idea works! I figured it was sticky or had microscales such as what you see on the feet of lizards that help them climb straight up walls when their claws alone wouldn't cut it. If the webbing did have these microscales it would also mean she would have a more powerful grip on her enemies as the scales would stab and scrape and scratch into the victims skin making being pinned under her paw even worse. Plus it means she can hold onto slippery things better!
Again that is just my brain doing its own crazy musings lol
