Richard was not the most popular of kids growing up and when his bizarre ability to freeze time popping up he dreaded that he'd get bullied even more. He enlisted early and was pleasantly surprised Uncle Sam found his ability not just useful but an amazing godsend. Dubbing him the masked hero "The Minute Man" Richard has gone to war with the ability to free time in small areas for 8 minutes at a time.

Granted, during that time no one can get hurt or be adversely affected by the outside world that can still move. however, objects and people can be moved out of the way (if you can lift a tank you can move it... just don't expect to drive it while it's paused) Same goes for those bleeding or dramatically wounded they if action can be taken fast enough with them frozen a doctor can in some cases save someone with greater ease.
