Again with the vintage comic strips. This from Tom Sims and Bela Zaboly's run on Thimble Theatre/Popeye, and collected by Stephanie Noelle at https://lostdailies.gumroad.com/ ... in volume 9, Popeye in Davy Jones and the Sea Goon, the Sea Goon threatens them with death if they answer a mysterious summons for help. The Sea Goon is this fierce mer-Goon creature who's rather interesting even though he sort of fades out from the story before I was done with him. Too bad. Great twist on a classic design, though.
And to file under ``good to know'': it's really hard to stop drawing Wimpy once you get started. Amazing character, lot of fun in that face.
