I always feel guilty about it and just horde the napkins and utensils in a drawer somewhere, never to see the light of day. It happens to me at Subway so often that I have to remember to ask them to not include the napkins before they put it in the bag.

This is why we need more public compost bins; leads to almost zero waste when eating out. The city where I go to university has them next to every trash can and it's great.

It seemes to be the opposite around here. Usually, unless I ask for them, the takeout bags usually only contain the food.

The exception seems to be Chinese food. Then it's maximum soy sauce packets, along with a little tub of soy sauce, plus the soy sauce already on the food...

And yes, any extras go into that one kitchen drawer.
