Maxwell Garner is a brilliant but misunderstood former scientist now in the employ of the Syndicate run by Cornelius Spencer.

Maxwell, more commonly known as Max, is a highly intelligent human from Dresden who was born into a family of high-class scientists whose history is almost entirely unknown. Likewise, Max's early life is a mystery. At one point, he worked for Monarch, one of C-Corp's rivals, and gained access to a considerable amount of their technology. However, he left the company under unknown circumstances, and ended up in the employ of the Syndicate.

Now, Max uses a plethora of gadgets(whether they are his own inventions or stolen from others is unknown) to spread the Syndicate's influence around the world, primarily operating in his native Germany. Occasionally, he'll hop the Atlantic to square off with the primarily Canada-based Airship League, but this almost always ends with him being forced back across to Germany.

Something worthy of note is his motivation: he has extreme anger towards the Airship League due to an injury he feels was caused by them. During a battle, he was hit by stray weapons fire - a hit that cost him his left arm. It was replaced wit ha prosthetic, which he now uses to great effect.

Tools, Gadgets and Abilities

Gravity gun: Max's primary weapon of choice is believed to be one of his own inventions, a "gravity gun". This weapon uses an extremely thin beam of focused gravitic energy to scramble the binding forces of it's target. The weapon is powered by a substance formed from ground-down enriched uranium mixed into a salt water-lead combination which is then turned into a gel. The resulting "pulse gel" as he calls it, is unsafe to handle by bare skin for any period of time, and exposure can cause permanent damage to any organic tissue it encounters. As such, Garner uses his robotic hand to replace the cartridges in his gravity gun, which he calls a Schwerkraftbeschleuniger(Gravity accelerator)
Genius-level intellect: Max is incredibly intelligent, having mastered every aspect of the technology he uses, and is able to easily repair or rebuild damaged gear with ease.
