Kanda carriers Marko on his back. Using his tentacles to carry her as he slithers his way to the meadow near the river. Her light yellow scarf wrapped around her neck as to keep her warm in the cold early morning as it flails behind them.
Kanda: Marko. Open your eyes.
The white haired girl opens her eyes to see the meadow and the river.
Marko: We're here.
Kanda: Do you want to lay down?
Marko: Yes. Put me close to the river. I want to hear water.
The black monster gently places the girl on the soft grass before laying next to her.
Marko: (sigh) This is so peaceful. I haven't been outside for a long time.
Kanda: Do you need anything?
Marko: No. This is enough.
The two lay together and look at the semi cloudy sky as they wait for the sun to pierce through the clouds.
Marko: Kanda.
Kanda: Yes, Marko?
Marko: I don't know how much i have time left. But, i like to spend it with you. For as long as we can.
Kanda: Marko?
Marko: Here.
She gently removes her scarf and wraps it around the black monster's neck.
Marko: You look cold.
Kanda: But, won't you needed this more than i do?
Marko: I don't need it anymore. You're enough to make me comfortable.
The black monster looks at the white haired girl. He gently holds her hand with his large three fingered claw as she frailly holds back.
Marko: I remember when i first found you here. Small and fragile. You were trying to get out of the water.
Kanda: How can i forget. I'm grateful you were there.
Marko: Stay with me a little longer.
Kanda: I will.
Giving her last owner as its master, the two look into the sky as the sun shines through the clouds.
Kanda: Marko. The sun is here.
He looks at her but she remains still. Her eyes closed as she gives a smile.
Kanda: Marko...?
The black monster holds her hand tightly. Struggling to contain the tears leaking from its eyes.

It's a non canon story idea i have in which Marko's immortality is at its limit. Kanda, her pet dog, has obtain his powers and true form back but prefers to stay with Marko as she offers him her scarf and remains with her as long as he can in the meadow where she first found him.
