What kind of name are you looking for?

I'm looking for a strong sounding name. Strong but weathered. The proper name for a veteran who's seen too many fights.

Well, I don't know how helpful I can be. Men from the past three generations of my family(my grandpa, my uncle, and my cousin) have been in the military, and in my experience, it's the voice behind the name that gives the impression of war-weariness, far more than the name itself.

But I'll throw one out there for the sake of argument: If you want something that sounds strong and weathered, how about "Brick?"

Brick sounds like a start. What about Rhode? That's usually a strong name.

I wouldn't know; this is the first time I've seen it written as a name for anything other than a small territory in the eastern U.S.

*ahem* In all seriousness, I've already said as much as I'm able on the subject. How you use it is entirely up to you.

The name brick gave me an idea for the character's name. How about Rauk Emmanuel Rhode? Or Rauk E. Rhode? X3

...And after listening to my mother for 20 years, I thought I'd heard everything that wordplay had to offer.
