On my way to 
swampytfox's mudpit, I make a wrong turn... before I realize my mistake I stumble into "Gator Bog;" as I quickly find out, those ridiculous legends... are true!

Susi was on hand to rescue m- er, actually to take pictures in the hopes of selling them to the Weekly World News. To his chagrin, it turned out the batteries in his camera were dead; by the time he replaced them I was already pretty much completely transformed. He did manage to get these shots, though.

Have you ever been there for real? You enter through a set of 'gator jaws into the ticket office/gift shop (where I bought one of my alltime fave gator shirts) and thence out to meet the gang:

Last time I was there they had a life-size gator sculpture just outside the gift shop. When I saw it my first reaction (for a split second) was 'oh, that's a tame one they let wander around' until I realized it was just a statue
