My Newest War Thunder Skin Project
"It was a mess, no uniformity, pairs broke off to engage at will, many nearly running into each other at times. It was on all levels of flight, from the height where contrails stretched across the sky, to ground level with aircraft streaking between buildings on long chases following the streets. By this time we knew they were running out of pilots but they still had some skilled aviators in their ranks, guiding the new ones into their first and only fight, they stood no chance, by then we had complete superiority over the skies of the nation, we had started losing count of how many we were shooting down every day and could only keep track via the camera footage and counting the wrecks. I had come across a fighter that was leaking oil and fuel, traveling slow, I thought perhaps either his engine seized from lack of lubricant or was shot out, as I got closer I could see their propeller had been bent backwards and curled in on its self like it had rammed someone, either by mistake or in a last ditch effort to take them down I couldn't tell. I was able to fly up beside them and looked over, the pilot just stared at me. I could tell by now they were most certainly a novice, to young and clean to be a veteran, I could tell he was scared, I don't blame Him, an enemy less than 10 meters from your wing tip, in an aircraft that is faster, newer, and better armed, while you simply glide down to the ground of your city that has been reduced to ruble by endless streams of bombers and naval gunfire. I didn't have the heart to do it. It would've been wrong, no better than shooting them if they were in a parachute. I took off my googles and mask, so he could see my face, so incase He survived we could meet up after the peace had been signed, saluted him, and I flew away. Back into the fire and hell of the fight where I was needed. A few years later there was a meet up of veterans of the battle, I had asked my fellow squad mates and those of the Ko'Jans if they knew anything about them. I was told that they had been able to escape the furball but as they had lined up with a street to land, their plane had stalled out and dipped down into a near by lake and they had drowned. I visited their grave at the end of the day, "Pilot 3rd Class Du'On Jem'Jil. Aged 22. A Brave Pilot who in His last Moments gave His life to Serve his Country in its Final Days" Every year on his birthday I go and visit his family to make sure they are alright, they never have had hard feeling about that day or towards me, but i think about what I could've done to try and get him home alive."

So if you haven't been able to tell I am making a new skin for war thunder, this time its the KN-31 "Windbreaker" The E'Fo'Nan Empire's first mass produced jet fighter. This one is being painted on the Me-262A-1a/U1, a "Squadron Vehicle" in the German Aviation Tech Tree with a current Realistic Battle Rating of 7.3. Powered by two Junkers Jumo 004B-1 Axial flow turbo jets and armed with two 20mm MG151s, two 30mm MK 103s, and two MK 108s this Swallow packs a punch unrivaled at its BR but is still plagued by the standard problems of the Schwalbe family such as weak engines, limited ammunition, poor climb, speed, and maneuverability compared to jets of the same BR and BR bracket. It is recommended that while using this bird that you climb as fast as possible and hunt in packs of at least 2 and try to use your hard hitting weapons to knock out enemy engines and control surfaces quickly before you get into turning engagements with them (if they survive the assault) but with its less than stellar climb this might be hard, however they twin MK103s provide another play style, with good armor piercing belts this aircraft can be quite the attacker knocking out Pillboxes, Artillery, Armored Cars, AAA, and if brought into Tank Realistic Battles enemy vehicles if coming down from above. I'll try and keep some updates on this but I do want to try some new things to make it better than my KN-18-1 skin.
