@doginacafe on Twitter (GO CHECK THEM OUT!!!) made a fantastic study of Eddie, one of his characters, in different artistic styles. I thought that was a phenomenal idea, so I blatantly took his template and drew Tzin in those same styles. It was a lot of fun! Definitely it took me way out of my comfort zone. Of course the wannabe realistic version took the longest to get right (using references of front-facing Komodo dragons), but surprisingly to me, the toony version also took me far too long to get right. Sometimes I wish I could draw characters in a more cartoony style. But hey... it's all a matter of practice... or so I've been told.
