Commissioned piece for 
of her percheron mare Dhanus in a burlesque style.
Threw in some knotwork border since Marie said she likes those, and meant for this scene to look like Dhanus is on a stage doing a little dance number, with, appropriately, a pasture scene in the background. She's got a sugar cube in her hand, perhaps she'll toss it out into the audience. ^_^

Oh, I like the choice of colors! Purple and black really look nice against a dapple-grey horse! I love her corset, and the arm-length gloves she's wearing. Those, in particular, are a really nice touch. And I can't help but like the fact that the decoration on her collar kind of reminds me of a prize ribbon. I don't know if that's what you intended, but it does kind of go along with the barn theme behind her. And I just really love the way you draw horses!
Oh oh oh I absolutely adore how this turned out! I love the way you really do "set a stage" in the picture, and everything works so well in the theme - right down to the clever way you did her stockings, tail-tie, and of course that sugar cube! That outfit is fantastic, too! And of course, such lovely lovely colors! Thank you so much once again!
