Guys, I would like to introduce to you some Russian horse breeds 🇷🇺
Unfortunately, many of these breeds are in decline, because for this time horse owners in Russia often prefer foreign horse breeds for a variety of reasons. I find these breeds wonderful and would like to show you some of them. My favorite is the Orlov trotter 😊
🐴The Orlov Trotter is a horse breed with a hereditary fast trot, noted for its outstanding speed and stamina. These horses are used for riding and harness. They were also used for the improvement of other Russian horses. The most common colors are: gray, light gray ("white"), red-gray, dappled gray and dark gray. Often there are also bay, black, and less - red and roan. Buckskin and palomino Orlov trotters are very rare, but they are also found.
🐴The Vladimir Heavy Draft is a Russian breed of heavy draught horse. The Vladimir is a draught horse of medium power, with energetic and active gaits. It is more solidly built than the Clydesdale, and unusually deep in the girth – thoracic circumference may reach 2.07 m. It is usually clean-legged, though feathering can occur. Bay is the most usual colour with white markings to the face and legs.
🐴The Russian Riding horse (also Russian Saddle horse) was created for under saddle use by Count Orlov at the end of the 18th century. Orlov was was also responsible for the Orlov Trotter. Among Russian breeds deserves special attention; has successfully proven itself in dressage. The breed was on the verge of extinction after the war and was revived by blood from horses of other breeds. Russian riding horses are large horses of dark colors, preferably black.
🐴The Budyonny breed were developed for use as a military horse following the Russian Revolution and are currently used as an all-purpose competition horse and for driving. The coat is generally chestnut with a golden sheen, although they may also be bay, gray or black.

The Budyonny Horse is named after Marshall Semyon Budyonny, who was a cavalry officer during the Great War, founded the Soviet Cavalry during the Russian Civil War, and became a Marshall during the Second World War (though not a good Marshall, according to his contemporaries).
He also had an impeccable mustache, if anyone cares for that.
